Most Powerful Car.

The most powerful production car currently on the market is the McLaren F1 6.1 which develops in excess of 627 bhp the car can accelerate to 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.
Fastest Diesel-Engined Car.

The prototype 3-litre Mercedes C111/3 attained 203.3 mph in tests on the Nardo Circuit Southern Italy,
on 5-15th oct 1978 the car maintained an average speed of 195.4 mph over a 12 hour period, covering a record distance of 2344 miles.
Fastest Electric Car.
The highest speed achieved by an electric vehicle is 183.822mph over a two way flying kilometre by General Motors Impact, driven by Clive Roberts at Fort Stockton Test Center, Texas, USA.

The fastest road-tested acceleration on record is 0-60mph in 3.07 sec's by a Ford RS2000 Evolution at the Millbrook Proving Ground UK May 1994.

In 1989 Stuart Bladon drove a Citroen AX 1.4 DTR 112 miles 18 yds on one gallon of fuel on the M11 Motorway UK.

A vehicle designed by Team 1200 from Honda In Suzuka City Japan, achieved 9,426 mpg in the Pisaralla Pisimalla mileage marathon at Nokia Finland 1st Sept 1996.
